Vice President of Sales

A rapidly growing, globally focused, VC backed, IOT and Technology Company who are taking their respective market by storm, are seeking a seasoned VP of Sales to aggressively grow their Major Corporate Accounts. They want to take full advantage of their first mover position in the market by hiring someone who can quickly convert their extensive sales pipeline into Profitable long term partnerships with their global multinational client base. My client requires a safe pair of hands who can replicate a proven sales model selling technology into large corporates. You will be tenacious, entrepreneurial and self-motivated to proactively get to the decision makers in key strategic partners and drive to close them, being the key point of contact internally and externally.

You will deepen partnerships with all current partners by cementing my client's position as the de facto thought leader in the space. You will guide the development of new commercial offerings, such as data insight tools that can drive measurable revenue growth. You will be responsible to develop sales platforms and processes to optimise efficiency. You will plan and manage long/complex pre-sales engagements and collaborations, through to formal commercial contract

You will report into the CEO. This is a field-based position, working from home/office when required (depending on home location) and will include travel for up to two weeks of the month.

Key Experience:

  • Experience managing key customer relationships, executing major negotiations, and closing strategic opportunities.
  • Experience building out a new ecosystem.
  • Experience navigating various personas (CHRO, CIO, CTO, HR Ops Leaders, TA Leaders)/ influencers in the buying process throughout the organizations up through the C-level.
  • Exceptional listening and interpersonal skills with a high degree of approachability. Combine competitiveness with empathy, along with a high-level of personal and professional integrity.
  • Must possess the ability to work seamlessly in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), with the proven ability to effectively translate complex ideas and tailor key messages to multiple audiences.

Person Specification:

  • Suitable candidates will have at least 15 years' experience working with high technology organisations that develop and operate complex internet-based software solutions,
  • Experience of delivering software sales to corporations, institutions
  • A rich background across functional sales disciplines, geographies, and industries, ideally to include B2B experience gained within complex, international, regulated markets
  • Evidence of strong internal stakeholder management and credibility at senior level
  • The candidate will have experience working and traveling internationally, and can demonstrate success leading and influencing across cultures and timezones, with and without direct (line) authority.

  • The candidate must have experience working in small/medium sized organisations

Desirable:

  • Existing relationships within the OEM space.
  • Experience within software sales, lead management processes in OEM/Dealer environments is preferred.
